Hi , my name is N.Vijayaraghavan and welcome to my Universe of Photos.

To me, Photography is all about capturing the moment. The moment may be in the house, on the roads or it could be a
wedding event or during voyages . Once the moment is captured, it becomes a Snapshot – A slice of life that was
seen through the lens and to be cherished and displayed for generations to come.

An Engineer by profession and a photographer by passion ( although my profession is also one of my passions),

I love all kinds of photography, from portraits to landscapes, with a passion to bring creativity into all my compositions. I started photography when I won a Point-n-Shoot Sony W55 camera during a professional conference in September,2007. Then, I discovered Flickr and was amazed by how much one can share knowledge through it.

Serious photography took off  in 2008 when an hitherto unknown guy named Adrian Warren took one of my mundane pics on Flickr, improved it dramatically using his creative composition and posted it back to me telling me the improvements I should make. This was the turning moment and Photography never felt the same since then. It is just like what the great English Poet Oscar Wilde once told –
"To look at a thing is very different from seeing it."
Currently I am using a low-end kit – a Canon 1000D and Sony W55 PnS and all my pics have been shot using them.  I believe that it is the photographer's eye and not the camera that makes the shot. The daily life itself offers many amazing yet fleeting opportunities to capture, only if we look at them and that's what my philosophy towards photography is all about.
